To Celebrate Our 35th Anniversary We Are Putting Almost the Entire Store On Sale for the Month of March
We may only open our doors 14.5 hours a week, but we're around to answer calls Monday to Friday 11 AM to 5 PM and during our regular store hours.
Because our suppliers prevent us from advertising exactly what we are putting on sale, we invite you to come by and discover or rediscover how Saturday Audio has grown. Been eyeing that fancy integrated amp with a built-in DAC? It’s going to be on sale. In the market for a new set of floor standing speakers? There will not be a better time to buy them. Do you need a nice set of headphones because you’ve just had a baby and you need to keep it down? Come see us in March!

When we started Saturday Audio Exchange 35 years ago, at the heart of our business was a passion for providing a broad range of HiFi at unprecedented prices. These usually took the form of discontinued integrated amplifiers, scuffed speakers, and B-stock CD players. It wasn’t unusual to have a line form outside the shop or to sell the same piece of equipment twice while it was still on the shelf.
While suppliers have curbed some of these business practices and others are just outdated, some things do not change. Andy and his crew still pick and choose only the gear we’d listen to. We are still excited by great deals on discontinued and dinged gear. And, on any given Thursday evening or Saturday, there is a hidden gem in the shop if you look around.
We kicked off the Month with a great party revolving around the music we all love Thursday, March 2nd. Thank you to everyone who attended. You put smiles on all of our faces.

We’re proud to have survived as a Chicago small business since opening our doors in 1982. We were there for cassettes. We were there for the birth of the compact disc and the death of vinyl. We are here for the rebirth of vinyl and the ongoing digital boom. What remains the same? People love listening to music on great audio equipment in their home or place of business.
We are celebrating this milestone by throwing a party spinning picks from Andy's very extensive collection of rare 60s Garage Rock & Psych records. This is raw and energetic stuff!
