Inspired by the legendary Cremona M, the full-range 3-way
floor standing LIUTO delivers extraordinary performance at a substantially
reduced cost when compared with its costlier counterpart. The fully shielded,
rear-ported lute-shaped enclosure features a 9” aluminum/magnesium alloy cone
woofer, 6” polypropylene/textile midrange and a 1” fabric dome tweeter. The

R-528
R-528 represents the final step-up in the Serie R range
and, as is REL tradition, embodies the largest model with superlative depth,
scale and slam. Numbers do not tell the full story here, as the weight and power
of R-528 at full output is prodigious indeed. The R-528 receives a Heavy 12™
active bass-engine coupled to a VariCone™ 12” carbon Fibre ABR passive
radiator
producing the equivalent of a 16” driver in an even larger cabinet. The digital
power amplifier employed produces an effortless 500 watts with the
aforementioned components means the R-528 is capable of underpinning speakers
with quality low-frequency extension that cost ten times its own price. The
R-528 is all about speed and detail as reproduced by the Heavy 12™ active
driver, which is actually the fastest diver in the series with the best impulse
response. Naturally, its capabilities suggest careful pairing, although it is
capable of filling even grand salons with powerful, clean, fast and extended
deep bass.
A special proprietary REL High-Level Input cable is provided with each REL
Sub-Bass System and is the preferred method of connecting the REL to your main
speakers. This cable joins the REL to your system by connecting to the left and
right channel speaker terminals of your amplifier or surround-sound receiver.
This allows the REL to receive the exact same signal as your main speakers,
providing for a seamless integration of low frequencies into your system. This
is a very important point and together with REL’s Natural RollOff™ circuitry,
ensures far superior system integration of the Sub-Bass System with the main
system. The High-Level connection is active whether you use your system in
two-channel music or surround-sound mode. This connectivity method offers
noticeable sonic improvements over the common RCA low-level interface by not
only delivering the missing low frequencies by creating the realization of a
“lifelike illuminated acoustic space”, otherwise known as the “REL effect.”
Virtually any conventional separate power amplifier, integrated amplifier or
receiver can be used with REL Sub-Bass Systems. Even most Class D amplifiers can
interface as REL incorporates REL-D™ circuitry providing the appropriate
impedance and grounding for digital amplification.

MXA60
Integrated Audio System

Constructed in celebration of our 60th year in business, and wrapped
in our trademark casework of stainless steel, black glass and blue
lights, the new MXA60 Integrated Audio System from McIntosh
challenges old notions about what constitutes serious audio
hardware. Capable of true-to-life sound reproduction that belies its
diminutive size (the product measures 22.5” long, 10.6” high, and
14.9” deep, including loudspeakers), the MXA60 is a full-blown
McIntosh HIFI in-miniature. Now, perhaps for the first time, music
aficionados need not trade performance for convenience. Conceived
and executed by the same team responsible for the $250,000 McIntosh
Reference System, the MXA60 stands ready to introduce a whole new
range of music lovers to the pleasures of owning a hand-made audio
system; a system steeped in the McIntosh traditions of unerring
quality and value; a system that is built to last a lifetime.

MC275
Vacuum Tube Power Amplifier
An
object of desire cherished by music lovers around
the world, the MC275 was designed and engineered in
1961 by McIntosh co-founder Sidney Corderman and the
McIntosh Engineering Team. Based upon the
extraordinary Unity Coupled Circuit, the MC275 has a
lush sound that presents a powerful and detailed
soundstage.

The MC275 develops 75 watts
per channel into 2, 4 or 8 ohm loads, or 150 watts
in bridged mono mode. Both balanced and single ended
inputs are supported. The mirror polished stainless
steel and black chassis with die cast nameplate is
presented here just as it was in the original 1961
model.

NAD
C 545BEE Click Logo for Review CD Player
The C 545BEE replaces NAD’s venerable C 542. With
the worldwide acclaim and numerous awards for
outstanding performance and value, it is fair to ask
why NAD would “mess with success”. But NAD has never
rested on its laurels; rather development is ongoing
at the NAD Lab and new models are launched when we
feel a significant improvement has been achieved.
Such is the case with the C 545BEE. Besides the new
more refined cosmetics, the circuit layout and
component choices have been extensively updated. The
cumulative effect of these changes is dramatic,
improving low frequency slam and extension, while
maintaining the pace and timing for which the C 542
was so lavishly praised. Image depth and scale are
further enhanced while retaining the timbral
accuracy and lucid harmonic structure of its
predecessor.

NAD
C 375BEE
Stereo Integrated Amplifier
The C 375BEE is far more than a bigger C355BEE — in

About the unique 2M design
2M is developed together with the Danish designer
"MøllerJensen Design" from Copenhagen, Denmark - the
same designer who designed the award winning
cartridge MC Jubilee and the Kontrapunktseries.
The inspiration for designing the 2M was related
to the facets of the diamond - elegantly
concentrating its contours against the grooves on
the record surface.
The name 2M was selected among several ideas. We
wanted a modernname which should be easy to
pronounce and to remember, and therefore an alpha
numerical name was chosen. 2M means MM, which is the
abbreviation for moving magnet.
We are using the same names on our 2M series as
we use at our Rondo series: Red, Blue and Bronze.
The 2M Black will become the flagship of 2M.
2M was the last product of our former chief
engineer Per Windfield. He has worked with the 2M
for the last two years.

Synchrony
Synchrony carries the traditional PSB virtues to new heights,
with seven models developed together and tonally matched to
unprecedented precision. In doing so Synchrony yields sonic
performance that pushes the boundaries of the possible, whether
judged by way of close technical analysis or by rigorous subjective
evaluation.
Yet Synchrony delivers something more: a measure of visual elegance
and luxurious finish unprecedented in such thoroughly engineered,
advanced-performance loudspeakers. As a result, the seven elegant,
small-footprint Synchrony models integrate quietly into today’s most
sophisticated listening rooms and home theaters.
